“Lizard Mania”
By Gracie Webb
Lizard Mania was inspired by my love of earthy tones, wild nature, classic elegance and of course, lizards. Lizard Mania was a project that began as only a classic checkerboard background until midnight on a cold day in December, frantically inspired, I slapped 4 lizards on the canvas. By around 3am the little chameleon was completed. This painting was created through the chaos of life’s ever changing flow and I wanted the primary thought for audiences to be “Where are my eyes supposed to look?” This is not created to be aesthetic, its created to be odd, chaotic, and confusing.
